A recreational vehicle with faulty equipment is being recalled by the manufacturer.

The RV Factory announced this week that it would be voluntarily recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Avion Azur motorhomes. The affected vehicles may have an improperly placed weld on the underfloor seat bracket used to mount the second row seats. As a result, the bracket may break in a crash, increasing the risk of injury to the passenger.

These vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

The RV Factory believes that seven vehicles are impacted by this defect.

The company will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brackets, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule.

Owners with questions about the recall can contact The RV Factory customer service at (844) 284-6678 extension 106.
