A recall has been issued for approximately 7,300 Kikkerland and Cost Plus World Market brand teapots with bamboo stands. The bamboo votive stand can catch fire.

The 30-ounce glass teapots have a removable glass tea infuser sold with a votive-candle holder inside the bamboo stand. However, no votive candles were included with the teapots.

The affected Kikkerland teapots have model number of TP02 printed on the packaging next to the UPC code. The affected Cost Plus World Market teapots have a white sticker with number 25024784 printed on the packaging.

The recalled teapots with bamboo stands were sold at Amazon retailers, Cost Plus World Market, Uncommon Goods, and Urban Outfitters, as well as online from March 2014 through September 2016 for between $40 and $70.

Thus far, the company has received six reports of the votive stands burning. No injuries have been reported, to date.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled teapots and stands and contact the company for return instructions. Consumers who purchased the products online will be mailed instructions on how to receive a refund. Those who bought the teapots at stores can return the teapots and stands for a full refund.

Consumers with any additional questions about this recall should contact Kikkerland at (800) 727-7151.
