An auto manufacturer is recalling recreational vehicles due to a fire and explosion hazard.

DS Corp DBA Crossroads RV, operating as Crossroads, announced a voluntary recall this week for certain model year 2015-2016 Sunset Trail trailers. The affected trailers are equipped with kitchen ranges that were installed without a panel to isolate the range from air movement.

Without the required isolation panel, a back draft may occur from the top burner increasing the risk of a potential explosion, fire or carbon monoxide build up.

Crossroads is recalling about 246 trailers in relation to this defect.

Crossroads has notified owners, and dealers will install the panel to prevent air movement affecting the kitchen range, free of charge. The recall began on September 25, 2015.
