Nissan North America has issued a recall affecting certain model year 2016-2018 Nissan Titan trucks.

What's the problem?

Accessories installed on these vehicles reduced the load carrying capacity, however, a Load Carrying Capacity modification label was not installed, possibly allowing the vehicle to be overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

An overloaded vehicle can increase the risk of a crash.

What happens next?

Nissan will notify owners of the recalled Titan trucks beginning in mid-June 2018. Owners will be provided with a new modification label with installation instructions, free of charge.

Vehicle owners with further questions about this recall or the impacted vehicles can reach Nissan customer service by calling toll-free (800) 867-7669.
