Arctic Cat is issuing a recall for a line of its all-terrain vehicles.

The Thief River Falls, MN-based auto manufacturer has discovered that its 2014 and 2015 Prowler 500 HDX are prone to fuel leaks. The issue stems from the fuel fitting at the throttle body, which poses an increased fire hazard.

The affected vehicles feature vehicle identification numbers (VIN) from 303194 to 305166, which can be located on the rear frame tube under the rear of the box. The Prowler 500 HDX comes in green, emerald green metallic, red, or vibrant red metallic.

The Prowler 500 HDX was sold at Arctic Cat dealers nationwide from August 2013 to July 2015 for between $11,000 and $12,400.

Arctic Cat has not received any reports of incidents, but urges consumers to stop using the vehicles immediately. Owners should contact an Arctic Cat dealer to schedule a free repair. The company is attempting to reach all existing customers directly. Customer service can be reached at (800) 279-6851.
