Leaking Oil Drain Line Initiates ROV Recall from Polaris

December 10, 2015

Polaris is issuing a recall for recreational off-highway vehicles (ROV) due to leaking oil.

The recall applies to the 2016 Polaris RZR XP Turbo. In affected vehicles, the oil drain line can leak, posing a fire hazard. The company has received two reports of oil leaks and two reports of fire. No injuries have been reported.

The affected vehicles have a vehicle identification number (VIN) between 3NSVDE925GF454105 and 3NSVDE923GF459495. The VIN is on the driver's side rear frame rail, above the PVT cover.

The RZR XP Turbo was sold in graphite, orange and blue color schemes. A Turbo decal is located on the right and left front fenders and a RZR decal on the right and left rear fenders.

Customers could purchase these vehicles at Polaris dealers nationwide from September 2015 through November 2015 for about $25,000.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled vehicles and contact their local Polaris dealer to schedule a free repair. Polaris is contacting its customers directly and sending a recall letter to each registered owner.

Owners with questions about this recall can contact Polaris at (888) 704-5290.
