Maserati North America is recalling approximately 7,481 model year 2017 Quattroporte, Ghible, and Levante vehicles.

In temperatures below freezing, the entertainment telematics module (ETM) on the impacted vehicles may place itself in a protection mode, disabling the vehicle's back-up camera.

If the back-up camera is inoperable, it may be more difficult for the operator to see people or objects behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury or crash.

The Quattroporte, Ghible, and Levante vehicles included in this recall were manufactured from July 1, 2016 through November 14, 2016.

Maserati will notify owners, and dealers will update the ETM software on the affected vehicles, free of charge.

Vehicle owners with additional questions about this recall can contact Maserati customer service at (201) 510-2369.
