Mazda North American Operations has announced a recall affecting certain model year 2010-2011 Mazda Tribute vehicles. On vehicles with a 3.0L engine, the Fuel Delivery Module (FDM) may crack, causing a fuel leak.

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a vehicle fire.

All of the approximately 912 Mazda Tribute vehicles affected by this recall were all manufactured from March 3, 2009 to May 26, 2011.

Mazda will notify impacted owners, and local dealers will replace the FDM flange on the recalled Tribute vehicles with one that has a redesigned fuel supply port. All repairs related to this recall will be performed free of charge to vehicle owners.

This recall is expected to begin on December 15, 2016. For additional information, owners can contact Mazda customer service at (800) 222-5500.

Mazda's reference number for this recall is 0416J.
