Mercedes-Benz USA is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 E300 and E300 4MATIC vehicles. The affected vehicles have a roof-mounted spoiler that may not be properly attached. As a result, the spoilers could detach while driving.

If the spoiler detaches while the vehicle is in motion, it can become a road hazard, increasing a risk of a crash.

Approximately 411 E300 and 2017 E300 4MATIC vehicles are impacted by this recall.

Mercedes-Benz USA will notify owners of the recalled vehicles, and local Mercedes dealers will inspect the roof spoilers and replace them as necessary—free of charge.

The remedy process for this recall is expected to begin in early June 2017. Vehicle owners with additional questions about the recall can contact Mercedes-Benz customer service at (800) 367-6372.
