Mercedes-Benz USA is recalling 10,832 model year 2013-2016 G550 and G63 AMG vehicles and model year 2016 G65 AMG vehicles.

The steering coupling on the affected vehicles may have been insufficiently tightened. This could cause the steering connection to wear—which may lead to a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.

Mercedes-Benz USA will notify owners of the recalled vehicles beginning in May, and local Mercedes dealers will replace the steering coupling free of charge.

Vehicle owners with additional questions about this recall can contact Mercedes-Benz customer service at (800) 367-6372.
