Mercedes-Benz USA has announced the recall of more than 8,000 model year 2016-2017 Mercedes GLC300, GLC300 4MATIC, and GLC43 4MATIC vehicles.

What's the problem?

These vehicles may have misadjusted headlights, possibly resulting in the low beam headlights insufficiently illuminating the roadway. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

An insufficiently illuminated roadway may increase the risk of a crash.

What happens next?

Owners of the affected GLC300, GLC300 4MATIC, and GLC43 4MATIC vehicles will be notified by Mercedes-Benz USA. Mercedes dealers will then inspect the vehicle's headlights and adjust them as necessary.
