General Motors (GM) is recalling more than 57,000 model year 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500 HD, and 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 HD vehicles.

The power steering hose clamp on the affected Silverado and Sierra vehicles may disconnect from the power steering pump or gear, causing a loss of power steering fluid.

A loss of power steering fluid could result in a loss of power steering assist and power brake assist, increasing the risk of a crash.

Owners of the recalled Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra vehicles will be notified by General Motors, and local dealers will inspect the vehicles to make sure the power steering hose clamps are properly secured. This service will be provided free of charge.
