Tong Ho Hsing Industrial Co. is recalling 342 Hawk AP-80 motorcycle helmets, part number T378, size M.

The affected helmets may not adequately protect a user in the event of a head impact during a crash. As such, these helmets fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) Number 218, "Motorcycle Helmets."

Helmets that do not adequately protect the wearer increase their risk of injury in the event of a crash.

The remedy for this recall is still under development, but the recall is expected to begin in August 2016.
