Emerald Nuts has initiated a nationwide recall for certain 6.5 oz. packages of Glazed Walnuts that may be contaminated with other nuts—including peanuts, almonds, cashews, and pecans—that are not listed on the label.

What's the risk?

Consumers who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts, almonds, cashews, or pecans risk a serious allergic reaction if they consume the recalled walnuts.

While no illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported related to the consumption of the impacted nuts, the company says that it is taking this action out of an abundance of caution after receiving consumer complaints.

The recalled Emerald Glazed Walnuts can be identified by a UPC code of 0 1030080894 7, a production code of EN1216XX2, and a 'Best before' date of 15 DEC 2018.

No other production codes, sizes, or varieties of Emerald products are included in this recall.

What should consumers do?

Consumers who have purchased any of the affected Emerald Glazed Walnuts should contact the company at (800) 438-1880 to receive a full refund.
