Navistar, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 IC Bus AE school buses.

A double battery jump start or electrical load dump event on the affected buses could result in an overvoltage condition of a component within the HVAC system linear power module (LPM), which is used to control the blower speed. The overvoltage condition could result in the overheating and failure of the LPM.

If the LPM overheats and fails, there is an increased risk of a vehicle fire.

The IC Bus AE school buses impacted by this recall were all manufactured between February 14, 2013 and March 10, 2014.

Navistar will notify owners of the recalled buses, and dealers will replace the LPM with an upgraded one. This repair service will be provided free of charge.

This recall is expected to begin on June 22, 2015. For additional information, contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825.

Navistar's reference number for this recall is 15510.
