The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is launching a new advertising campaign this month to promote NC By Train—the state's passenger rail service that is operated by the department.

The "Go. Reconnect." campaign features images of train travelers as they ride NC By Train—formerly known as North Carolina's Amtrak—to reconnect with family, friends and experiences along the North Carolina rail corridor.

NC By Train refers to the Piedmont train service, which operates between Charlotte and Raleigh with stops in seven cities along the way—as well as the Carolinian train service, which operates along the same corridor but also extends to Selma, Wilson and Rocky Mount in North Carolina.

Both the Piedmont and the Carolinian trains are operated by NCDOT with support from Amtrak, and carry a combined total of more than 460,000 passengers each year.

The new "Go. Reconnect." campaign ads for NC By Train can be seen on a variety of digital, social media, print and other advertising platforms.
