Nestle Waters North America has announced a recall for products due to packaging issues.

The manufacturer is recalling several flavors of Sweet Leaf tea after the discovery that the bottles may contain small glass particles, posing a threat to the drinker. All recalled items are sold in 16 ounce bottles.

The recall applies to Organic Raspberry Iced Tea (UPC 6-51538-06703-6), Organic Half and Half Lemonade Tea ( 6-51538-06708-1), Organic Original Sweet Tea ( 6-51538-06700-5), All Natural Citrus Green Tea ( 6-51538-06720-3), All Natural Peach Iced Tea ( 6-51538-06704-3), and Organic Tea Mint & Honey ( 6-51538-06701-2).

Best-by dates of 06/30/2016, 08/31/2016, and 10/31/2016 appear on the bottles.

About 125,000 12 count cases are being recalled by Nestle.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) considers this action to be a Class II recall, meaning that exposure to this product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences. The risk of serious health issues is small.
