Products from a compounding pharmacy in Las Vegas, NV may be posing a health risk to patients.

Well Care Compounding Pharmacy has announced that it is initiating a statewide recall in Nevada after the Food and Drug Administration expressed concern over its products lack of sterility. The recall applies to all unexpired sterile compounded products distributed between January 1, 2016 and April 29, 2016.

The use of a compromised drug product that is intended to be sterile can result in serious and potentially life-threatening infections or death.

All recalled products have a label that includes the pharmacy name, logo, drug name, and expiration date. If patients are unsure of the expiration date, they can contact the Well Care for confirmation.

Customers that have any recalled products should immediately stop using it and contact the pharmacy to arrange for its return.
