Certain model year 2018 Atlas and Tiguan vehicles have been recalled by Volkswagen. The front passenger air bag on these vehicles may tear or not properly unfold during deployment.

What's the problem?

If the air bag were to tear or unfold incorrectly when deployed during a crash, the passenger faces a greater risk of injury.

What happens next?

Volkswagen will notify owners of the recalled Atlas and Tiguan vehicles beginning in early August 2018. VW dealers will then replace the passenger frontal air bag, free of charge.
