Madewell Inc. is recalling a line of women's sandals due to safety concerns.

The New York, NY company has discovered that the metal shank in its Sightseer brand of sandals can dislodge and break through the bottom of the outsole. This can cause a fall hazard for anyone wearing the shoe.

Madewell is recalling a little over 50,000 pairs of sandals. Ten different styles of Sightseer sandals are involved in the recall. For specific model names and style numbers, visit the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website. The style number is located on a sticker on the outsole.

The Sightseer line was available in Madewell stores and online from April 2015 through August 2015 for about $100.
