Newmar Corporation is recalling certain model year 2017 King Aire motorhomes. The affected vehicles are equipped with WABCO OnGuard collision mitigation radar which may have been mounted upside down on the front lower bumper, resulting in decreased performance.

If the collision mitigation radar has reduced performance, there may be an increased risk of a crash.

The King Aire motorhomes included in this recall were all manufactured between January 22, 2016 and October 4, 2016.

Newmar will notify owners of the recalled motorhomes, and dealers will check the orientation of the OnGuard radar and, if necessary, correct the orientation. Any repairs or adjustments related to this recall will be performed free of charge to vehicle owners.

The recall is expected to begin on December 23, 2016. For further information, owners can contact Newmar customer service at (800) 731-8300.
