Nissan, BMW Recalls about 94,300 Cars and SUVs for Fuel Pump Defect

About 94,300 Nissan and BMW vehicles are being recalled for a manufacturing defect that could cause the car to stall.

Both companies are recalling various models for fuel pump components that were improperly nickel-plated.

If the fuel pump fails, the vehicle could stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash.

About 76,240 model year 2014 Nissan Rogue SUVs are included in the recall.

BMW is recalling about 18,050 of the following:

Both Nissan and BMW will notify owners affected by the recall and dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge.
