Nissan is recalling 1,140 model year 2012-2013 Infiniti M35 Hybrid vehicles due to a problem with the hybrid propulsion system.

A system overheat condition in these vehicles may cause the hybrid powertrain control module to shut off the engine.

If this occurs, drivers are at an increased risk of crashing.

Nissan will notify owners and dealers will reprogram the hybrid control module, automatic transmission control unit, and inverter software free of charge.

The recall will begin by September 6, 2016.

Owners may contact Nissan Customer Service at (800) 647-7261 for more information.
