Northside Noodle Company is recalling approximately 123 pounds of a frozen pork and beef meatball product due to misbranding and undeclared allergens.

The affected product contains soy—a known allergen—which is not declared on the ingredient label.

Recalled product details

The recalled 1-lb. polystyrene foam packages of Ragazzo's Italian Style Meatball Mix were produced on June 6, 2017, June 27, 2017, and August 2, 2017. The packages bear a lot code of 2008, 2024, or 2044, as well as the establishment number EST. M10062 inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The recalled product was shipped to a retail location in Michigan. The problem was discovered during routine label verification checks.

To date, there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of this product. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.

What should consumers do?

Consumers who have purchased any of the recalled Ragazzo's Italian Style Meatball Mix are urged not to consume it. The product should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
