May 19, 2014

Dimension Industries has issued a recall affecting roughly 6,700 patio dining sets sold exclusively at Costco. The legs of the chairs that come with the recalled dining sets can bend and break, posing a fall hazard to the user.

The outdoor dining set affected by this recall is the Fairview 7-piece woven patio dining set. The set includes an 80" long by 42" wide by 29" high rectangular table with a tan with white border porcelain tile table top and black metal framed base and six chairs. The chairs have a black metal frame with brown woven wicker seats and seatbacks. The chairs measure 24" wide by 27" deep by 40" high. '7 piece Woven Dining Set' and 'Imported by Costco Wholesale' is printed on the product packaging. The item number is printed on the instructions sold with the set and reads 'ITM./ART. 966630.'

The recalled dining sets were sold at Costco Wholesale stores nationwide from January 2014 through March 2014.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled chairs and contact the firm for instructions on receiving a full refund for the set. Costco has contacted its customers directly.
