An auto valve manufacturer is recalling a specialty product.

Peter Paul Electronics announced the recall this week for certain nitrous oxide solenoid valves. The affected valves have end stops on sleeves that may break when under pressure either during installation or during use.

If the end stop on the sleeves breaks, the end stop may come off under pressure, increasing the risk of injury to those nearby or possibly damaging other nearby components.

For a list of the recalled part numbers, see the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) listing page, and search for campaign number 15E072000, dated September 2, 2015.

Peter Paul will notify the manufacturers who purchased the valves for use in nitrous oxide fuel systems and repair or replace the solenoid valves, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in September 2015.

Owners with questions can contact Peter Paul customer service at (860) 229-4884.
