Phone Charger Recalled After Reports of it Overheating and Melting
A phone charger sold for school fundraisers has been recalled.
There have been two reports of the Tectron 3-in-1 USB charger overheating and melting. The charger is used with iPhones, iPads and Android phones.
About 55,000 chargers are affected by the recall.
Consumers should stop using the chargers immediately and call 844-582-3152 for instructions on returning merchandise for a refund. If purchased through Tectron's website, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
The cable is used to charge iPhone4S/4G/3GS/3G, iPhone5, iPad mini/iPad4 and android phones. Item NO. USB29B is printed on label on the outside of the pouch.
The chargers were sold to distributers to be resold for school fundraisers from July 2014 to August 2014 for about $3.50.
