Star Snacks Co. is recalling two lots of its Southern Grove Cashew Halves and Pieces with Sea Salt because they may be contaminated with pieces of glass.

The product was distributed in eight-ounce canisters labeled as follows:

Southern Grove Cashew Halves and Pieces with Sea Salt, Net Weight 8.0 oz. (227 grams)

It includes UPC 041498179366 and best-by dates of 11/27/18 & 11/28/18 printed on the bottom of the can.

The cashew product was distributed to ALDI stores in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC., Wisconsin, and West Virginia.

Items that may have been contaminated have been taken off store shelves. Although no injuries have been reported to date in connection with this recall, consumers should either throw the product away or take them back to their local ALDI location for a refund.
