Porsche Cars North America is recalling certain model year 2015 Macan vehicles because the brake booster may have been damaged during installation.

As a result, the vacuum in the brake booster may drop when the brakes are used, resulting in a reduced brake force boost and increasing the risk of a crash.

Porsche will notify owners of the problem, though Porsche has not yet provided a notification schedule. Dealers will inspect and replace the brake booster, as necessary, free of charge.

Owners can contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-545-8039 for further information. Porsche's number for this recall is AE02.
