Porsche Recalling Nearly 18,000 Panamera and Cayenne Vehicles That Could Stall

The affected vehicles have camshaft controllers that may come loose inside of the engine

Porsche Recalling Nearly 18,000 Panamera and Cayenne Vehicles That Could Stall

Porsche Cars North America is recalling nearly 18,000 model year 2010-2012 Panamera S, Panamera 4S, and Panamera Turbo vehicles, model year 2011-2012 Panamera and Panamera 4 vehicles, and model year 2011 Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo vehicles.

The affected vehicles have camshaft controllers that may come loose inside of the engine, potentially resulting in an engine stall.

An engine stall can increase the risk of a crash.

Porsche will notify owners of the recalled Panamera and Cayenne vehicles. Local Porsche dealers will then replace the fastening screws for the camshaft adjusters. These repairs will be completed free of charge to vehicle owners.
