Potential Presence of Metal Shavings Prompts Three Recalls from HEB

Texas grocery HEB is recalling three products from the Mi Tienda brand. Due to a manufacturing error, the items may contain metal fragments.

The recall includes 15 units of the Mi Tienda Masa Preparada. The product is bagged with a sell-by date of 11/16/2015 and UPC number 22854300000.

Next, HEB is recalling 30 units of Mi Tienda Tostada Siveria. The packaging indicates a sell-by date of 11/16/2015 and 11/17/2015 and UPC 22859400000.

Last, the company is recalling 14 bags of Mi Tienda Tostaditas Botoneras Rojas. The product bears UPC 22847000000 and a sell-by date of 11/16/2015 and 11/17/2015.

HEB distributed the products exclusively to store locations in Texas.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) considers this action to be a Class II recall, meaning that exposure to this product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences. The risk of serious health issues is small.
