Ferrara has issued a recall affecting certain model year 2014-2016 Igniter vehicles. These vehicles were manufactured from January 1, 2014 to May 2, 2016, and are equipped with certain Class 1 ES-KEY power control modules manufactured by Hale Products.

This recall is prompted by power control modules that may not provide sufficient circuit protection depending on their combination of software and installation, possibly resulting in a short circuit.

A short circuit may result in damage to components of the vehicle's electrical system. This potential defect can cause a loss of headlights, thereby increasing the risk of a crash, and a short circuit may also increase the risk of a fire.

The recall is expected to begin in August 2016. Ferrara will notify owners, and dealers will upgrade the software and/or retrofit fuses, free of charge.

Owners with additional questions about this recall can contact Ferrara customer service at (225) 567-7100.
