Potentially Disconnected Fuel Line Prompts Ferrari Recall
A luxury automaker renowned for high-level performance from its vehicles is issuing a recall due to a fuel line issue.
Ferrari North America, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2016 California T vehicles. The affected vehicles have a low pressure fuel line that may not connect properly to the fuel pump feed pipe.
The improper low pressure fuel line connection can result in a fuel leak in the engine compartment which may increase the risk of a fire.
Ferrari believes that about 185 vehicles are potentially impacted by this defect.
The company has notified owners, and dealers will replace the low pressure fuel line assembly, free of charge. The recall began on December 14, 2015.
