Dog Treats Recalled by the Cosmos Corporation Due to the Risk of Mold

The Cosmos Corporation is recalling its Naturel Promise, Fresh Dental, Healthy Dental Chews for Dogs, Hip & Joint. Some bags of product showed evidence of mold, posing a risk to dogs if ingested.

The product is sold in an eight ounce package bearing lot number 3892907135 and a best-by date of 07/13/2017.

About 1,150 cases, each containing 12 packages of the dog treats, are potentially affected by this issue.

Naturel Promise sent the dog treats to retail distribution centers located in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) considers this action to be a Class III recall, meaning that exposure to this product is not likely to cause adverse health consequences.
