A snack food distributor is recalling gluten free products due to the unintentional inclusion of wheat.

New Frontier Foods is issuing a voluntary recall for Ocean's Halo Gluten Free Seaweed Chips after the discovery of the undeclared allergen. The decision comes after routine testing showed that levels of gluten are above the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) limit for a gluten free product.

Three flavors of chips are included in the recall: Sea Salt, Chili Lime, and Korean BBQ. The manufacturing error stems only from six days of production and does not impact any other New Frontier product. For a list of affected lot numbers and UPCs, see the PR Newswire release.

Individuals with wheat allergies, celiac disease or gluten intolerance should not consume these products. For consumers without a gluten sensitivity, the products are safe to eat.

Consumers who wish to request a refund or have questions about the recall should contact Bob Childs at New Frontier Foods at (888) 767-2035.
