Presence of Wood Pieces Prompts Ice Cream Recall from H-E-B

Pieces of wood found in H-E-B-brand ice cream is the reason for the latest recall to hit the Texas-based grocer.

The company is voluntarily recalling its Creamy Creations Caramel Pecan Turtle Ice Cream after reports that wood pieces were found in the containers.There have been no reports of illness or incident in relation to this issue.

The product is sold in a white half gallon container with a black lid. UPC 041220518777 appears on the label, along with a sell by date of 04/20/2016, 05/10/2016, 06/07/2016, or 07/18/2016.

H-E-B distributed the product to retail stores throughout Texas.

Consumers who purchased the product can return the product to the store for a full refund.
