LGS Industries has issued a recall of 34 model year 2017 Look, Pace, and Cargo Express cargo trailers due to a structural problem.

Because of insufficient welds, the bracket attaching the torsion spring cable to the ramp door may detach from the door. If this occurs, the door can fall open, which creates a crushing hazard. If the door is completely open, the cable and bracket may act as a projectile, potentially resulting in personal injury.

LGS will inform owners. Dealers will inspect the brackets and repair them as necessary, free of charge.

The recall is expected to start in December 2016.
