Products from Signature Breads May Contain Metal Fragments

A wholesale bread manufacturer has announced a recall for products that may contain metal fragments.

Signature Breads, of Chelsea, MA, is recalling certain bread products between December 14, 2015 and December 18, 2015. The announcement is due to the potential presence of small wire pieces from a damaged flour sifter. The damaged item was discovered during a routine quality check.

The recall applies to Signature brand French Mini Baguette, Assorted Petit Pain Rolls, French Rolls, Crusty Baguette Bread, French Petit Pain, and French Sandwich Hoagie. The expiration dates that appear on these products range from 09/14/2016 to 09/17/2016.

About 1,900 cases are included in the recall. No consumer complaints or injuries have been reported.

Signature Breads sent potentially affected product to the following Sysco branches: Baltimore, Boston, Cleveland, Connecticut, Detroit, Eastern Maryland, Hampton Roads, Indianapolis, Minnesota, New Orleans, and Syracuse.

Those in possession of the recalled product are being instructed not to dispose of it unless formally notified by Sysco.
