Piggie Park Enterprises is recalling Maurice's Southern Gold Honey Sauce and Gourmet Carolina Gold Honey Sauce that was manufactured in the past two years (March 11, 2016 to March 11, 2018) because it contains wheat and soy that is not listed on the ingredient label.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat or soy run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the affected products.

Recalled Product Details

The recalled Maurice's Southern Gold Honey Sauce and Gourmet Carolina Gold Honey Sauce was distributed nationwide through the company's 'Flying Pig' shipping service. It was also sold at retail stores in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

Both products come in an 18 oz. clear plastic bottle with an expiration date before 3/12/18 and a UPC code of 0 75616 54332 6 or 0 75616 54383 8. The expiration date is located on the bottom of the bottle. If the bottle doesn't contain an expiration date then it is also included in this recall.

No illnesses related to the consumption of these products have been reported, to date.

What should consumers do?

Consumers who have purchased any of the recalled Maurice's Southern Gold Honey Sauce or Gourmet Carolina Gold Honey Sauce are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
