Approximately 700 Nutrex pressure cookers have been recalled by Rena Ware because they can discharge steam at lower pressures than intended, posing a burn hazard to consumers.

Recalled product Details

The impacted pressure cookers contain a model number of 2153. A blue gasket marked with DWM is attached on the inside of the cover. The model number, the month and year of production, and Rena Ware can be found on the bottom of the unit. DONG WON is stamped on the base of the main valve.

The recalled pressure cookers were sold through sales representatives from December 2015 through June 2018.

To date, Rena Ware says that is has received 13 reports of unintended depressurization, including five reported burn injuries to consumers.

What should consumers do?

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled pressure cookers and contact Rena Ware for a free repair. Rena Ware is contacting all known purchasers directly.
