Ottogi America is recalling 6.40 ounce containers of Rice Cake Soup because it may contain undeclared milk. People who have allergies to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the affected product.

Recall Details

The recalled Rice Cake Soup was distributed nationwide in retail stores. The product comes in a 6.40 ounce yellow paper bowl package marked with an item number of 29409101 and an expiration date of June 20th 2018.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the milk-containing product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of milk.

Production of the product has been suspended until the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the company are certain that the problem has been corrected.

What should consumers do?

Consumers who have purchased the recalled Rice Cake Soup product are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
