Roasted Red Pepper Strips Recalled Due to Presence of Glass

The presence of an adulterant is prompting a recall from Roland Foods.

The company, in cooperation with its Peruvian manufacturer, is recalling specific lots of Roland brand Fire Roasted Red Pepper Strips due to the possible presence of glass fragments in the product. The items were distributed to retail locations nationwide.

The recalled product is sold in a five pound, eight ounce can bearing item number 45628, lot number 427, 428, 432, or 437 and UPC 10041224456287(carton) and 041224456280(can). Production code G1 MSS 1 P0929 or G1 MSS 2 P0929 are printed on the cans.

No other sizes or other Roland brand products are affected by this recall.

A customer complaint initiated the announcement. No illnesses have been reported to date.
