A line of classroom stools has been recalled after complaints that they broke while they were being used.

School Specialty received two consumer complaints of breaking stools, but no injuries were reported. About 1,350 Classroom Select NeoRok Stools are affected by the recall.

The recall involves three models of Classroom Select NeoRok Stools with a tilting and rocking feature for use by children in the classroom. The recalled stools were sold in three sizes: 15-inch (Item Number 1496633), 18-inch (Item Number 1496340) and 20-inch (Item Number 1496342). The stools were sold in five colors: Pistachio (green), Paprika (orange), Periwinkle (light blue), Cardinal (red) and Marine (navy blue).

The stools were sold through Classroom Direct catalogs, School Specialty Furniture and Equipment catalogs, School Specialty Education Essentials catalogs, School Specialty Early Childhood catalogs, and on online from May 2015 through June 2015 for between $105 and $115.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled stools and contact the company for replacement instructions. School Specialty is also contacting consumers directly and sending free replacement stools with a prepaid return shipping label.
