Shark Recalls 2,500 Motorcycle Helmets that Don't Meet Federal Standards
Shark has issued a recall for about 2,500 size medium and extra-large RAW motorcycle helmets. The affected helmets were manufactured from August 22, 2013, to June 29, 2014.
Impact tests showed that some of the helmets failed to conform to federal standards and may not adequately protect the wearer in the event of a crash.
Shark will notify affected helmet owners, who will be directed to contact Realtime Results, a service provider that will replace the helmet free of charge.
For more information, owners can contact Realtime Results at (888) 770-7157.
