Shredded Coconut Recalled for Containing Small Pieces of Steel Wire

California-based SunRidge Farms is recalling bulk shredded coconut and coconut candies because they may contain pieces of stainless steel wire.

No illnesses have been reported and no other SunRidge Farms products are affected by the recall.

The 25-pound bags of shredded coconut include UPC 086700011201 and Lot Codes DCM-101 and DCM 102.

The vanilla coconut chews candy come in 10-pound bags bearing UPC 086700936177 and Lot Codes 1081545 and 1101545.

Consumers who have purchased the shredded coconut should return it to the retail store from which it was purchased for a full refund.
