Are you tired of receiving all of those "pre-approved" credit card and insurance offers in the mail? You have the power to opt out of receiving these offers!

Often referred to as "firm offers," these pre-approved offers bombard consumers' mailboxes nationwide every day. These offers can also be intercepted by theives looking to steal your identity, so stopping them from getting to your mailbox is important if you don't intend to take advantage of what they are offering.

Consumers have the option under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) to opt-out of being included on any pre-approved lists sent from the Consumer Credit Reporting Companies, which are Equifax, Experian, Innovis and TransUnion, as well as from credit card and insurance companies.

The service allows you to opt-out for five years, opt out permanently, or even opt-in to receiving these offers if you choose to do so. If you opt out today and later change your mind, you can always opt back in.

The process is simple and usually takes only a few minutes. Opt-out now!
