Three Recalls Announced Due to Defective Atwood Water Heaters

Faulty water heaters from Atwood have prompted recalls from three auto manufacturers. In affected models, the water and gas valve may cause the water to overheat. This could result in a release of steam that poses a threat of scalding to the operator.

The first recall comes from ShowHauler Trucks, Inc. The company is recalling one 2013 ShowHauler 20'6" msl recreational vehicle, equipped with Atwood model OD45, OD50, or OD50CW.

ShowHauler will notify the owner and Atwood will provide a remedy kit, free of charge. Consumers with questions may contact ShowHauler customer service at (574) 825-6764.

Next, Tiny Idahomes LLC is recalling 13 model year 2014-2016 Clear Creek and Cascade vehicles and 2015-2016 Carpathian vehicles.

The company will notify owners and Atwood dealers will remedy the hot water heater issue, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Tiny Idahomes customer service at (208) 468-0576.

Lastly, Triple E Recreational Vehicles is issuing a recall for certain model year 2013 Regency GT 24MB motorhomes.

Triple E will notify owners and Atwood dealers will remedy the hot water heater issue, free of charge. The recall was expected to begin in December 2015. Owners may contact Triple E customer service at (204) 325-4361.
