An unlisted allergen has prompted a recall from Slade Gorton.

The company is recalling certain tilapia products after the discovery that they may contain undeclared milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The recall applies to the company's Gourmet Bay brand Toasted Crumb Tilapia (bearing product code 7396701), Honey Mustard Tilapia (7324801) and Citrus Coconut Tilapia (7322401).

The product was distributed to Supervalu, Harris Teeter, Cantanese Classic Seafoods, The Fish Guys, Euro USA, Bfresh, Porky Products, and Superior Fish Company in seven states including Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

To date, Slade Gorton has not received any reports of illnesses. Slade Gorton has segregated the affected ingredients in its manufacturing facilities and will not use them in the production of future products.

Consumers should return any affected product to the store from which it was purchased for a full refund.
