Hyundai Motor America is recalling certain model year 2018 Santa Fe Sport vehicles.

What's the problem?

The front coil springs on the affected Santa Fe vehicles may have been improperly manufactured and, as a result, may fracture under certain loads while driving.

If the coil spring fractures, it can puncture the tire, causing a loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash.

What happens next?

All of the affected Santa Fe vehicles are currently unsold on dealer lots. Both front coil springs will be replaced on each of the impacted vehicles prior to being sold to a consumer.
