Ton Shen Health is expanding its recall of DHZC-2 Tablets to all lots purchased before August 24, 2016 because they have the potential to be contaminated with elevated levels of lead.

Ton Shen Health is recalling its DHZC-2 Tablets because they have the potential to be contaminated with elevated levels of lead.

Lead is a naturally-occurring element which can affect multiple body systems and particularly harmful to young children. Lead poisoning can happen if a person is exposed to high levels of lead over short period of time.

The recalled tablets are packaged in a 1.6-ounce white plastic package marked with lot number 2163-844 on the bottom and UPC 616042102727. They were mostly sold locally in Chicago area in retail stores, though some were distributed to other states through mail orders.

One illness has been reported to date in connection with this problem. Consumers who have purchased the recalled tablets are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
